In an effort to preserve ancient Lotus Sutra texts and make the near equivalent of the original texts more widely available for study, the Soka Gakkai has commissioned the Institute of Oriental Philosophy, with support from academic institutions, to publish facsimile editions and romanized texts of ancient manuscripts.
