"Nuclear Arms" Exhibition

The "Nuclear Arms: Threat to Our World" exhibition, with an aim to communicate the devastation wreaked by nuclear weapons, was first shown at the UN Headquarters in New York concurrently with the General Assembly Second Special Session on Disarmament and in cooperation with the UN Department of Public Information and the cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki. By the time it ended its first world tour in 1988, the exhibition had been viewed by 1.2 million people in 25 cities in 16 countries, including Tokyo (1982), Vienna (1983), Paris (1983), New Delhi (1986), Beijing (1986) and Moscow (1987).
