On September 5, 2007, the final Indonesian showing of "Dialogue with Nature--An Exhibition of Photographs by Daisaku Ikeda," which has toured 23 cities in Indonesia, concluded in Artha Gading Mall in Jakarta. The show, which opened on August 28, featured some 100 photographs that SGI President Daisaku Ikeda has taken on his travels in Japan and abroad. On September 4, former Indonesian President Abdurrahman Wahid visited the exhibition and spoke at the venue. Stressing the importance of working to preserve nature and referencing the photographs, Mr. Wahid remarked that the destruction of nature would mean the destruction of humanity. He reminisced about his meeting with Mr. Ikeda in 2002 and expressed his resolve to devote himself to the betterment of Indonesia.
