Dalian, China, Hosts "Daisaku Ikeda and China" Exhibition
From September 18-20, 2007, the "Daisaku Ikeda and China" exhibition opened at the Dalian Arts and Exhibition Hall in Dalian, a northeastern seaport city in Liaoning Province, China. The event commemorated the 35th anniversary of the normalization of Sino-Japan relations as well as the tenth anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China.

The exhibition, organized by Liaoning Normal University's Daisaku Ikeda Peace and Culture Research Institute and sponsored by the Dalian Association for Science and Technology, comprised two sections: 1) the achievements and ideals of Soka Gakkai first President Tsunesaburo Makiguchi and second President Josei Toda, as well as Mr. Ikeda's activities for peace; 2) the recent history and events that surround the relationship between Japan and China, including Mr. Ikeda's 1968 proposal calling for the normalization of Sino-Japanese bilateral relations. The exhibition was subsequently shown at Liaoning Normal University (September 21 to 30) and Dalian University (October 12 to 22).
