Jao-Ikeda Dialogue Published in Japanese

TOKYO, Japan: Ushio Publishing Co. has released Bunka to geijutsu no tabiji (tentative translation: A Journey on the Path of Culture and the Arts), in Japanese. In this dialogue between Professor Emeritus Jao Tsung-I of the Chinese University of Hong Kong and Daisaku Ikeda, the two share their fascination with Chinese kanji characters and discuss the power of language, the Lotus Sutra's insights into peace and other cultural topics. Born in 1917, Professor Jao is a noted Confucian scholar, linguist and poet, as well as an authority on Buddhology and archaeology.
