On October 1, 2007, "Dialogue with Nature," an exhibition of SGI President Daisaku Ikeda's nature and scenery photographs taken in Japan and on his travels abroad opened in the City of Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. Since the exhibition made its South American debut in São Paulo in 1992, it has been shown in major Brazilian cities such as Brasília and Rio de Janeiro.

The official opening began with a welcome from Rector Manoel Catarino Paes Peró of the Universidade Federal de Mato Grosso do Sul. Mato Grosso do Sul State assembly member Pedro Teruel said Mr. Ikeda's photographs splendidly manifest his philosophy of peace, culture and education and reflect his "great soul." President Américo Ferreira Calheiros of the Municipal Foundation of Culture, Sports and Leisure, also expressed how deeply touched he was by the photographs. The exhibition closed on October 25.
