Simplified Chinese Edition of Marinoff-Ikeda Dialogue Published in Dalian, China
Simplified Chinese edition of The Inner Philosopher: Conversations on Philosophy's Transformative Power by Lou Marinoff and Daisaku Ikeda
DALIAN, China: Dalian Publishing House in Liaoning Province has published a simplified Chinese edition of The Inner Philosopher: Conversations on Philosophy's Transformative Power, a dialogue between Daisaku Ikeda and Lou Marinoff, professor and chair of philosophy at the City College of New York.
The Chinese edition of The Inner Philosopher was translated by Dr. Cui Xuesen who serves as the vice director of the Daisaku Ikeda Peace and Culture Research Institute at Liaoning Normal University.
In the foreword written for the simplified Chinese edition, Dr. Zhao Yaping, president of Dalian China-Japan Educational and Cultural Exchange Association, concurs with Mr. Ikeda's perspective that an education lacking philosophy will create a society devoid of philosophy. He further comments that this dialogue will help readers cultivate a firm philosophical foundation, overcome their challenges and understand the true purpose of education.
