Radhakrishnan-Ikeda Dialogue Published in India

Walking With The Mahatma

DELHI, India: Eternal Ganges Press has published Walking With The Mahatma: Gandhi For Modern Times, an English edition of a dialogue between Dr. N. Radhakrishnan, chairman of the Indian Council of Gandhian Studies, and Daisaku Ikeda. In addition to the principles of and insights on nonviolence adopted by Gandhi, the authors examine the origins and far-reaching currents of the humanistic philosophies and policies advanced by Siddhartha Gautama (Shakyamuni Buddha), King Ashoka (304-232 BCE) and other spiritual leaders of India. To mark the publication of their dialogue in English, Dr. Radhakrishnan and Mr. Ikeda respectively contributed a new foreword.

Dr. Radhakrishnan is a renowned Indian social activist and former director of the Gandhi Smriti and Darshan Samiti (Gandhi Memorial Hall) in New Delhi. He has met and engaged in multiple discussions with Mr. Ikeda since their first meeting in September 1986.
