Proposals

From 1983 to 2022, SGI President Daisaku Ikeda published 40 annual peace proposals that explore the interrelation between core Buddhist concepts and the diverse challenges global society faces in the effort to realize peace and human security. In addition, he also made proposals tackling issues such as education reform, the environment, the United Nations and nuclear abolition. These proposals, together with statements he issued on the challenges facing humanity today, continues to give impetus and direction to the organization’s grassroots efforts to build a lasting culture of peace.
